The town of Beausejour, Manitoba (population 2,823) is located 46 km NE of Winnipeg near the entrance to Whiteshell Provincial Park and is home to the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships1.
The municipal flag was designed by local resident, Ron Loeb. The close economic and social relationship between agriculture and the town is reflected in the two inter-locked golden rings. Depicted inside of the left circle on the flag are grain elevators and the town's water tower. Inside the right circle represented are residential houses and a church. A small head of wheat is also illustrated within each circle. 1912 was the year that the town was incorporated.2
Beausejour translated from French means a lovely dwelling place.1Source: Wikipedia
