Per fess Argent and Gules overall a Chamois Sable stantant on Coupeaux Or.

The animal on the flag of Gams is a chamois (in German Gämse).
It is wrong canting flag as the name of the commune comes not from the chamois but from old
Romansh Campesias (in Rheto-Romansh champ [de] beschas, in German
Schafweide), which means "field of sheep".
