A yellow triangle.
Nozomi Kariyasu, 1 October 2006

Similar to but still somewehat different from the Imperial dragon flag (1872) - notably, the pearl is shown aflame, there are little flames throughout, the positions of the paws and claws differ, the tail is thin and snakelike instead of fringed - and the entire flag is edged in a wave- or flame-like pattern.

A long orange rectangle.

The source image is badly faded, but looks a reddish orange. Does this mean each of these flags had the officer's name on it? IHere is one with the (hopefully correct) characters for "name of officer": 士官姓名.
Eugene Ipavec, 1 October 2006

4. Jiangsu Province Police Department
