736 inhabitants. Ježov is mentioned for the first time in the second half of the 14th century when it was a property of Vojtíšek z Ježova. Dominant of the village is an old, originally Gothic church of St. Jacob. During the village feast you can see a parade with a wreath and a drake. There are wine cellars in the village and also a brass band Podhoranka. Near the village at foothills of the Chřiby there is a camp site. Info from this site.

From Papworth's - "Sir Simon Eyre: Gules, a hedgehog salient (proper) collared and chained argent."
Porcupines and hedgehogs are occasionally encountered, but the more common description is "urchin", which heraldically covers both.
