Falkenberg Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, a pylon Argent, flanked by two grain ears Or, in base a wheel Gules winged Or.
Meaning:
Falkenberg is a small city, located at the crossing of two important railroads, from Berlin to Dresden and from Leipzig to Cottbus. The importance of the railroads for the city is reflected in the arms by the wheel. The other charges are referring to energy and agriculture as important business lines. The former arms displayed a red inescutcheon with pylon and wheel as golden and the wings of the wheel were extending the inescutcheon. The ears had been Argent and flanked the inescutcheon until base. In 1962 Falkenberg gained the title of a city and its first arms.

The old arms had been adopted in 1962, the flag was adopted in 1987 and thus displaying the former arms first. The current arms were approved on 28 February 1994.
