Entities without proper Flags

The members of Suderburg comprehensive municipality are the communes of Suderburg (proper), Eimke and Gerdau. According to §2 of their local Hauptsatzungen [version of Hauptsatzung given in brackets] the following entities still have proper flags:

  • Suderburg Comprehensive Municipality [version 27 March 2014]
  • Gerdau Municipality [version 11 December 1997]

Suderburg Municipality

It is a white over blue horizontal bicolour with centred arms.

Coat of Arms:
Shield Azure chapé Argent, charged with a church tower Gules, in both chief corners a drainage tool Argent.
Meaning:
The church tower belongs to the local church dedicated to St. Remigius. The tool at dexter is a special knife (German: Wiesenmesser), that one at sinister a special spade (German: Dränagespaten).

Eimke Municipality

It is an armourial flag (banner of arms), which probably never had been approved officially.

Shield Argent, a ram's head Sable, armed Or and tongued Gules, issuant from dexter edge an initial "E" Gules.
Meaning:
"E" is the initial of the municipality's name. The ram is representing sheep breeding, an important business line in the past.
