Heyerode Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules parted per fess, above a stone-spindle Argent, beneath a wheel Argent, at sinister Argent an oak Vert eradicated Sable surrounded by a bench Maroon.
Meaning:
The wheel is referring to the Archbishopric of Mainz, to which the Eichsfeld historically belonged. The spindle is referring to local mills. The oak is a representation of the oak on the local village green. Heyerode is the seat of Südeichsfeld Municipality.
