Shield Argent, issuant from base a monk in habit Sable; chief Or charged with an attire Azure in fess.
Meaning:
The first known seal from 1811 already displayed the current pattern with the canting monk and an attire, representing Wüürttemberg. As Mönchweiler became a possession of Baden in 1810, the seal obviously had been in use before. In the 2nd half of the 19th century the municipality used a colour stamp, displaying a lion, probably from the 1807 version of the Badenian arms. In 1919 the local council decided, to re-establish the former arms.
