Shield Gules, three Gothic church spires Argent on the peaks of a triplemount issuant Vert, the central spire having an open gate.
Meaning:
In the Lordship of Wiesenburg the Reeves of Plauen founded a settlement round 1300. It was called Fürstenberg since 1318 and Kirchberg around 1320. It was called a town in 1350 and was walled in the 15th century. Mining had been a former important business line. Since the 16th century, after mining had declined, the production of cloth prevailed. The arms are based on a seal from around 1600. They are considered to be canting, displaying a (triple-)mount (German: Berg) and spires of churches (German: Kirchen).
