Hamburg-Deutsche Atlantik Linie

Hamburg-Deutsche Atlantik Linie.
The company was located in Hamburg. It is a red flag with a charge composed of three arrow heads pointing towards the centre but laid out as illustrated. As far as I know, the flag was used exclusively for two cruise liners, the HANSEATIC, and the (new) HANSEATIC. The funnel had the same pattern with a black top.

Hamburg-Deutsche Atlantik Linie variant

I came across a desk size version of this flag at a resale shop, I've attached a photo of it.
It shows that the two arrow heads go on top, as shown on the House Flag of the World Identifier web site. There is a site called Simplon Postcards at  that shows post cards of four ships that seem to have sailed under this flag. Three named Hanseatic and one named Hamburg that was renamed the hanseatic after the second was sold. A third company, Hanseatic Tours, was formed in 1991 by the former captain of the last german registered Hanseatic of Deutsche Atlantik Linie. He bought the rights to the Deutsche Atlantik Linie logo and the name Hanseatic. Hapag-Lloyd took over the company in 1997.
