Symbols of Olmedilla de Alarcón

The flag of Olmedilla de Alarcón is prescribed by an Order issued on 10 February 2003 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 24 February 2003 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 24, p. 2,692 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular, in proportions 2:3, composed of two equal vertical stripes, at hoist green with an uprooted elm at hoist, at fly, horizontally divided in seven equal horizontal stripes, four white and three wavy blue.

The coat of arms of Olmedilla de Alarcón is prescribed by an Order issued on 10 February 2003 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 24 February 2003 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 24, p. 2,692 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Vert an elm argent, 2. Argent a bell beaker gules. Grafted in base wavy azure and argent. The shield surmounted by a Spanish Royal crown.

The flag and arms are canting (olmo, "an elm").
The bell beaker represents the necropolis, dated from the Age of Iron (6th century BC), excavated in 1965. The bell beaker and other artifacts from the site are kept in the Cuenca Archeological Museum.
