Presentation of Calahorra de Boedo

The municipality of Calahorra de Boedo (109 inhabitants in 2009; 1,799 ha) is located 70 km from Palencia.
Calahorra was probably named after the Arabic word calagurra, "a free castle". Already settled in the pre-Roman and Roman times, the area was re-settled in the 11th century.
