The flag of San Juan de la Rambla is prescribed by a Decree adopted on 10 February 1993 by the Government of the Canary Islands and published on 19 March 1993 in the official gazette of the Canary Islands, No. 34, p. 1,458 (text). The flag was validated by the Heraldry Commission of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, one and a half longer than wide, white, with the lower half charged with five blue waves. In the middle of the flag is placed the municipal coat of arms.

The coat of arms of San Juan de la Rambla is prescribed by Royal Decree No. 3,296, adopted on 13 November 1981 and published on 12 November 1982 in the Spanish official gazette, No. 10, pp. 683-684 (text).
The coat of arms, validated by the Royal Academy of History, is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Azure on fesses wavy argent and azure an Agnus Dei argent with a cross or and a scroll argent in canton a scallop or. The shield surmounted with a Royal crown closed.

According to José Manuel Erbez (Banderas y escudos de Canarias, 2007; website), the Agnus Dei and the scallop symbolize of St. John the Baptist, the municipality's patron saint. The waves symbolize the village's seashore and maritime character.
