Union Sportive Arlequins Perpignanais (USAP)

USAP (Union Sportive Arlequins Perpignanais) is one of the best French rugby clubs. Based at Perpignan, USAP is a main element of the Catalan identity and a kind of northern counterpart of FC Barcelona.

The Catalonian flag is widely used by the supporters of USAP. As a tribute to the South Africans playing with USAP - Gerrie Britz, Steve Meyer, Gavin Hume and Philip Burger -, a group of supporters has designed a flag quartered Catalonia-South Africa. This flag was seen on TV images of the match USAP-Ospreys (European Cup, 17 January 2009).
