The coat of arms of Sveti Petar Orehovec is described in Article 4a of the Statutory Decision as follows:

The coat of arms of the municipality is in a semi-circular shield shape. The black field of the semi-circular shield is charged with two rampant lions coloured golden, looking twoards each other. The lions with their front paws jointly hold a golden column in the centre of the shield, leaning with one of their back paws each to the column base. At the top of the column is a golden walnut.

The two lions holding a column is the coat of arms from the seal of Gáspár Rákóczy von Orahovica, Vice-Ban of Croatia, of 1670. A similar coat of arms was confirmed in 1690 to his son Stefan when he was granted Grafschaft. The modern municipality that developed around their ancient lands ensigned the arms with a walnut (Croatian, orah), making the arms canting.
