Flag of Naga people, India by Jaume Ollé

See also:

The flag is described as that of Nagaland in Smith (1975), background light blue with a "rainbow" of red, yellow and dark blue; the six-pointed star have six lines like a rays. By my research (exchanges with Zing Zing Awungshi Shisha and the Catalan Committee of Solidarity with the South East Asian Peoples, and a friend that was in the region two years ago) the rays are not on the flags flown there, and the rainbow is red, yellow and green.

The Nagaland flag was adopted in 1947. At http://www.radicalparty.org/humanrights/naga_1.htm I found:

NAGALAND: TOO DISTANT AND TOO ALIENATED

By Kuldip Nayar

......Sometimes it looks as if they are chasing a rainbow, which runs across the flag that "the Federal government of Nagas" adopted when it declared independence on Aug. 14, 1947, after the British left.....
and at http://www.idsa-india.org/an-jul-700.html:
On March 22, 1956, the N.N.C. set up its government-the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) and hoisted the republic's flag.
