The town emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2005 but there is no flag law.
The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized katakana ア A of Ashikita.
The town emblem depicts the blue sea, sky and the sun.
It represents an image of the residents who become one to seek for the hopeful future.
