Kęsowo - rural commune, Tuchola County, Kujawsko-pomorskie Voivodship - German name: Kensau.
Gmina Kęsowo is a rural gmina (commune) in Tuchola County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodship, in north-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Kęsowo, which lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-west of Tuchola and 53 km (33 mi) north of Bydgoszcz.
Area: 108.82 sq.km (42 sq.mi); Population: 4,381 (2006); An agricultural commune: land under cultivation - 78%; forests - 11%

First mentioned in 1361. Taken by the Germans on the first day of WW II by complete surprise.

Arms and flag adopted on April 2, 2008 (resolution # XVII/102/2008).
"Arms: on a red shield a common crane (Grus grus) in natural color and with open wings, holding a silver rose in its talons.
Flag: red rectangle in the ratio 5:8. In its middle the Arms without the shield."

Because of a formal error the new symbols were once again adopted. The first attempt at this page relates to the law of 2008. (Uchwała nr XVII/102/2008 Rady Gminy w Kęsowie z dnia 2 kwietnia 2008 r. w sprawie ustanowienia wzorów herbu, flagi i pieczęci Gminy Kęsowo.
