It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain green field.

Shield Argent with base wavy of Argent and Azure, an eradicated olive tree Vert fruited sable, in chief a radiant sun Gules at dexter and a waxing crescent Gules at sinister, issuant from base a triplemount Vert.
