About the Flag

It is a fairly typical Portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms as described below centred on a field gyronny of eight of purple and white (city rank) (left image above). A variant, see here has shades of the gyrons in violet, instead of purple, and white, background colour of the shield is also violet instead of black, and the grapes have a lighter shade of violet instead of purple (right image above).

Coat of arms

4-towered mural crown, scroll reading "ANADIA" and a black shield with a weirdly stylized vine in (somewhat) natural colours.
Meaning:
The meaning of this coat of arms is simple: Anadia belongs to a natural region known as Bairrada, famous in Portugal through it’s wines and the way, they cook pork. So, the only thing missing in the coat of arms is a piglet.

The flag is (again and boringly) typical: quarterly divided white over a reddish purple (so called wine colour, I suppose the official documentation simply say "purple"), and with a typical coat of arms in the centre:

Presentation of Anadia

Anadia is a town located in the south of the district of Aveiro, old province and eventually future administrative region of Beira Litoral. The municipality has an area of 217,1 km² and about 29 000 inhabitants distributed in 15 communes.
