Cantar-Galo Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Covilhã Municipality (q.v.); it had 2232 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 5.9 km².

Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VILA DO CARVALHO".
Meaning:
"Carvalho" means "oak", thus oak leaves and acorns are canting elements.

Vila do Carvalho Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Covilhã Municipality (q.v.); it had 1741 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 9.9 km². Although the location was upgraded to a town already on 24 August 1989, it was still listed by Sérgio Horta as "Aldeia do Carvalho".
