Shield Azure, in base a bar wavy Argent charged with a barrulet wavy Azure, issuant from bar a triplemount Argent topped by a 6-point star Argent, in dexter chief a cogwheel Or partially covered by a roll of cloth Gules, in sinister chief a tree eradicated Maron. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and golden yellow scroll with inscription in black initials "VILA DE TORTOSENDO".

Tortosendo Commune is one of the 21 communes of the Covilhã municipality (q.v.); it had 5624 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 17.8 km².
