Shield Purpure, a pillory Argent garnished Sable, in chief a fleur-de-lis Or at dexter and a corn cob Or at sinister, in base a fountain Argent, spitting water of the same. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "MONTE REAL - LEIRIA"

Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a saw Azure hilted Sable, in chief a gridiron Gules, flanked by two vine leaves Vert, in base a watermill's wheel Purpure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "CARVIDE - LEIRIA".
Meaning:
The gridiron is an attribute of St. Lawrence, the local patron saint.
