Shield Azure, a castle Or masoned Sable with port and windows Gules, the lateral towers superimposed by an ogival shield Azure charged with eleven plates ordered 3:2.3.2:1, accompanied by two almond blossoms Argent seeded Gules and barbed Or; beneath a bridge Argent masoned black with three archs over a base wavy of Argent and Vert. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black uppercase letters "ALCANTARILHA".

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field. Former arms are the same like current arms but three visible towers (village rank) instead.

Alcantarilha Commune is one of the pre-2013 communes of Silves Municipality. It had 2540 inhabitants in 2011 covering 19,54 km².

On a silver field a silver dove surronded by a red aura, a green branch with to black carobs, purple grapes with green leaves and below 2 green waves. (town rank)4 silver visible towers mural crown, white scroll with the lettering "PÊRA-SILVES". Before being upgraded the only difference was the number of visible towers: three.
Meaning:
The dove is representing the Holy Spirit, the local patron saint. The green waves are symbolizing the location on the shores of the Atlantic.
