Description and discussion of the flag

During the demonstrations that took place in Portugal against the US-led invasion of Iraq, a seemingly local pacifist flag appeared occasionally. Based on a sticker and a logo advertized by one of the political forces that opposed the invasion, the Left Block, this flag appeared usually in square or squarish versions.

It consisted of a graphic aking to a road sign, with a black outline of a bomb, vertically placed, and the red ring-and-line of the "forbidden" signs over the bomb. In stickers, the inscription "Não à Guerra" ("No to the War") appeared in white on a diagonal line, but I didn't see this inscription in the flags.

I saw one of these flags in the cloth in Faro. It was a hand-made item and something of a rough job, too. I don't know if any of these flags were industrially made, but at least one I saw on TV seemed to be. Was this local, or did any similar flags surface elsewhere?

It was also seen at the demonstrations in Copenhagen. A variant is seen in the canton of nejtilkrig.dk.
