The flag of the City of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, is golden (yellow) with a blue robin in upper fly, "Incorporated 1893" below, and 5 sharp ending stripes on the lower hoist starting from the bottom, pointing upwards. The origin of the flag is from the local school mascot. Here is story about it: "Our city was named after a person named Robbins, but the school mascots were Robins (the thrush with the orange/red breast.) The old high school colors were blue and gold so the City logo also uses the blue and gold. The school mascot bird was blue with a yellow breast. Usually the bird in our logo is blue and there's a gold (rich deep yellow color, not the color of the ore) accent somewhere."
